That material..

..that was laying on my kitchen table...is what I used to create "Lily Ana" her new outfit.

Now let's be clear about one thing..

I cannot sew.

I have never taken a class. I do not own a sewing machine.  I usually only use a needle and thread to sew on a button ( occasionally) if one pops off of something.  HOWEVER...

Doll clothes in this day and age are very expensive and ( brace yourselves..)..sometimes people pay as much for the doll clothes as they do their own clothes.

I refuse to do this.

So, I spent $4.99 on a yard of fabric ( Olivia's choice of color and print).  With this yard of fabric I have already made a doll dress and head scarf.  I still have enough fabric for many more beautifully hand-sewn items.  *ahem*.

Anyway, here is the result...and the best part.  Olivia was happier with this doll outfit than any other she has played with.

Oh, and if you think Lily-Ana needs her hair brushed...you're right. (But I am totally diggin' the dreadlock look on her right now.  :-)
